Other roster moves: Nick Benedetto to Dayton, Humberto Valor to Billings. Beau Amaral to Bakersfield. Pensacola lost Amaral, but so far I haven't seen a move made to replace him.

Reds sign Shelley Duncan and Lou Marson to minor league deals

99% of all numbers only tell 33% of the story so when looking at the numbers remember that numbers is plural...

You are late to the party. That was posted three posts prior to yours.

The Reds have released pitcher Nick Schmidt, tweets Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish. The 28-year-old lefty pitched 14 1/3 innings for Triple-A Louisville, posting a 7.53 ERA with 11 strikeouts and ten walks. He had previously pitched in the Padres and Rockies systems.

Mike Wilson released. Room for Shelley Duncan or is Lutz in AAA for good instead of as a holding spot to see what happens with Votto? Have a feeling that he may go back to AA if Votto can avoid the DL.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Minor Moves: Maloney, Kulik, Olivo, Rodriguez

By Steve Adams [May 21, 2014 at 10:51pm CDT]

Here are today’s minor moves from around the league…

The Reds have inked former big leaguer Matt Maloney away from the independent Somerset Patriots, reports John Walk of the York Dispatch (via Twitter; hat tip to Chris Cotillo). Maloney, 30, gets a minor league deal with Cincinnati. He played in parts of four MLB seasons with the Reds and Twins, compiling a 5.74 ERA in 91 innings.

Minor Moves: Joe Gardner, Max Ramirez

The Reds have released former top catching prospect Max Ramirez from their Triple-A affiliate in Louisville, according to the International League’s transactions page. The now-29-year-old Ramirez was 10-for-52 (all singles) with Louisville though he also managed to draw an impressive 16 walks in 68 plate appearances, making for a rather peculiar triple-slash of .192/.382/.192. He has a career .269/.348/.407 batting line in 470 games at Triple-A but hasn’t reached the Majors since 2010.

Wonder why they are so set on keeping this Pensacola roster intact ? Most SL teams have experienced a ton of changes.

What moves do you think should have happened would be the question I would counter with? Lutz moved up. There has been movement in the bullpen. Not sure anyone else is glaring for a promotion.

Brodie Greene, Drew Hayes, and Ray Chang should be selling insurance.

Hey one of these years Brodie Greene will master Double-A.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
