Sorry I'm late but all Choo discussion should be scored by Weezer's Getchoo.

    That is all.

I know it's not just you, but then I'm the guy here all alone that thinks McClouth at 2/10 or less looks even better. Maybe even see what Crisp is going for these days first.

But I want desperately to cling to the Reds draft picks.

It looks like it's down to the Tigers and Rangers, with the Red Sox signing Napoli and the Yankees signing Beltran.

    And the Reds, of course!

How does the Napoli signing take them out of the running for Choo?

The money. Maybe the Sox have more payroll flex than I thought, but I think Napoli puts them where they were last year. I could be wrong.

Alex Speier of weei.com had them with about $32 million to spend coming into the offseason, so Napoli, Pierzynski, Mujica, and Badenhop just about does it unless they trade salary.

Choo may receive a deal that's nearly as large as Ellsbury’s $153MM pact, some executives believe. The Rangers, Mariners, Tigers and Reds appear to be likely landing spots, though some officials tell Rosenthal that the Giants and Astros could also get involved.

Teams that have talked with the Rangers in the last 24 hours say TEX feels Shin-Soo Choo is going to be far too expensive for them.

I suspect Choo is running into a lot of teams that don't want to go past four years or $17M per.

Walt should chase down Boras like Dog the Bounty Hunter and sign him now at 4/70M if that is the case.

I suspect we'll see him in a Tiger or Ranger uniform at 6/110M+ by the end of the week.

Sometimes it feels like most of this stuff is propaganda through the team suspiciously "leaks" when it's assumed most of these people have no incentive to leak this information unless it's strategic.

I have zero confidence Walt can or will upgrade the Reds offense this offseason. Prove me wrong Walt.
