Miami came out inspired with a strong first quarter.
Miami came out inspired with a strong first quarter.
Somebody help me out here.
Why is Indiana trying to hurry up the pace versus Miami? It's not their game at all. Miami isn't that slow that the Pacers should change their game to try to get Miami out of their half-court Defense.
Anyone with ideas on why they have chosen to go this route?
3:54 left in the first half, and the Pacers had 10 turnovers while George stands at the line for his first points of the game down by 11. Miami should be up by a lot more....now 11 turnovers at the 3:25 mark. Fans are irate where James fouled Chalmers and instead they call a jump ball. Now, 12 turnovers because of the jump ball call. The Pacers' Coach is irate at the refs.
The story of the game is turnovers. Miami has only four while Indiana has 13 at halftime of a seven-point Miami lead.

Indiana with the lead, 58-57, 6:12 to go in the third.
Another foul on LeBron where the refs call the foul on the Indiana player instead, sending Stephenson to the bench with his fourth foul instead of LeBron to the bench with his fourth foul. James should have five fouls, but he's only got three.
George with his first basket at the 3:51 mark of the 3rd....Pacers up 62-57. Dominating defense by the Pacers over the Heat in the third while Hibbert has been doing damage in the paint on Offense. Miami even getting a lot of help from the officiating, but to no avail.
LeBron gives George a big-time karate-chop across the neck to close out the third quarter. Would have been at least his sixth fould, but again...no call versus Miami.
Another Offensive foul on LeBron. This time an elbow to the face of Hibbert. No call. LeBron should have at least eight fouls right now. Instead, he has only three. This is why I hate the Miami Heat.
Doesn't matter. Pacers up, 78-72 with 6:19 to go.
The cream will rise to the top these last six minutes, be that the Heat or the Pacers, regardless of the refs.

Hibbert's been getting beat to death all night, but he's got 21 points so far with 5:00 minutes to go.
Indiana has about 22 turnovers! But, with 3 minutes to go have only 2 in the quarter while Miami has 4 in a 9-pt Indiana lead.
Miami has been playing bad teams for so long now, they weren't prepared for what it takes to play for 48 minutes against a great team.

Indiana wins by six, 90-84....174 total for the Under.
Great Win!
They meet again next Wednesday in Miami. The Heat will be ready this time, but so will Indiana.
From Rotoworld w/ Rotoworld comments:
Danny Granger (calf) will not make his season debut on Friday.
Granger somewhat rashly suggested that he'd be ready to go Friday, but he backed away from that idea after Thursday's practice. "I don’t like where I’m at with my timing and my rhythm and obviously my conditioning," he said. Paul George is playing like an MVP and Lance Stephenson has found a comfort zone at SG, leaving Granger to scrap for reserve minutes whenever he's healthy enough to play.

They are looking good for sure.
Rematch shortly between the Heat and the Pacers.
Pacers will spank them again.
