because they are awful cntracts for 2 guys that arent performing. See thats what GMs do. They dont look what they did 4 yearsa ago. They dont get thrilled with RBIs.

They were awful contracts when they signed them, and knew their talents would deminish over the life of the contract, that can't be shocked. Both players still have some upside, which the Angels "hope" will lead them to a WS in the next season or two.

MLB teams give out bad contracts daily, hell look at the monies wasted this offseson, 10 years for Cano? 20 million on Bartolo Colon with the Mets, Granderson got how much CHOO given 7 years. Bad contracts and MLB go hand in hand. Hell the votto deal is a bad deal.

Sucks that Choo is gone but its not unexpected. I wish him well. He was fun to watch.

I just don't think there are many deals to be done this year. I'd rather Walt play it conservatively than trade Bailey away for crap. The Reds are built to win NOW. I'm all for keeping Bailey for 2014 and him signing elsewhere eventually than to just trade him away for a subpar return.
