Red 1991 Ford Escort station wagon:

My brother drove it in high school after me. We called it "the red lady-killer"...

A 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix coupe with a V8. I loved that car.

Only us old guys know how awesome a 302 Cleveland was. My Maverick was not a Grabber, but it had the same engine and tyranny. It got about 12 mpg., but at $.98/gal., my LaRosa's paycheck still went a long way.

1960 Falcon station wagon. Paid $50 for it. Got ripped off.

It had hydraulic windshield wipers. They slowed down when I went uphill.

65 Mustang standard coupe not the fastback, base model with straight 6. Red with rust accents.

It was pretty used up by the time I bought it, a lot of rust and such. Looked good going down the road.

I've heard the story from my dad so many times, I could repeat it myself. He sold his black and white '57 Chevy and bought a Corvair. He's still pissed about that move some 50+ years later. Says he was afraid he'd kill himself in the '57 Chevy, it had so much power.

I bought my Corvair very used for $250. Drove it for 5 years and sold it for $200.

That $200 went for a down payment on a '74 Mellow Yellow Gremlin. What a POS that was (much like most American cars from the mid-'70's). My ex took it in the divorce and I wasn't broken hearted. Bought a '77 Miami blue VW Rabbit once I sobered up. Nice little econobox.
