Makes sense. Why use a Pirate as your logo when you are the Pirates? I guess those red birds on the stick will be replaced by an arch or the Mississippi River.

Well, this gets a forlorn yarrr from the Steve the Pirate.
Got to believe the pirate will return some day. In the meantime I'm going to have a lot of fun mocking the Pirates' golden "P" logo. For instance, it's only fitting that a team that plays near the confluence of three rivers enjoys its water sports. Or, now Pittsburgh fans will have a use for all those old Terrible Towels.
