    Baseball cards are weird

Found this article that focuses on the Cubs:

    http://cubsconvention.blogspot.com/2...s-history.html

And it showcases some great cards, like this one:

    Or this one:

And it got me thinking... maybe we had this thread once before, but what are some of RedsZone's favorite, most (in)famous baseball cards of all time?

My favorite, and the most influential of all time:

As for infamous.... the Billy Ripken F Face card.

And while it is incredibly well known, I'm not sure a lot of people know the story behind the Honus Wagner T206/Gretzky Card and how the FBI has investigated its authenticity. http://espn.go.com/30for30/film?page=holy%20grail

The Carlos Beltran/Juan LeBron rookie card fiasco. Both in 1995 Topps. Uncorrected errors where they are featured on the other players card.

My favorite for a very personal reason.

I was born on April 24, 1966, 4/24/1966. The 1966 Topps card #424 is the Reds rookie stars card of Lee May and Darrell Osteen.

"Man, the pitch looks fast, even in slow motion." Thom Brennaman on Chapman's fastball.

This was the holy grail for me. The first card I ever really really wanted. I actually never got it.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Cincinnati Bengals - None
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

    Re: Baseball cards are weird

Does anyone think that baseball cards could make a comeback of any sort? If not what would you suggest for a company like Topps?

(They recently signed an exclusive license with MLB through 202 I believe, so they don't have to worry about direct competition).
    Go BLUE!!!
