Think I smell a runoff coming.

I believe both have similar stuff and build and both had good success in rookie ball, but Moscot has continued that success all the way to AA. Lively was great in his 41 IP last year, but only 4 were above rookie ball. If he is a similar pitcher to Moscot, why are some wise Redszone posters taking Lively? Was it Moscot's poor W-L record?
Well, for me Moscot was #32 on last years list, what has he done to jump 22 spots? Lively was better at Billings. I was also under the impression Lively throws a little harder, has more of an arsenal and better command, but I could also be wrong there.

    You are.

Stuff between the two is rather similar.

As for what he has done to jump that high (I had him at 31 last year, so I am with you), he showed that his stuff held up well over 2-3 inning stretches he had in 2012 with Billings and that his stuff works for both Advanced-A and Double-A as well as that his control works at those levels too.

Making that jump and holding up is rather big over 2-3 innings stints in Billings where you weren't sure how it would work when he had to go 5-7 innings as a starter for 25+ starts (same questions I am having for a guy like Lively - Though in hindsight, and looking back on my own scouting reports on Moscot, I should have rated him higher last year).

Yorman Rodriguez is a guy I was really intrigued by when they signed him. What's the skinny on his development?
Rounding third and heading for home...

    A little blurb from Sickels.

***Am I wrong in thinking that 2013 fourth round pick Ben Lively is going to zip through the minor leagues and exceed expectations?

I just think Lively is a better pitcher. To me, he seemed the better pitcher coming out of UCF than Moscot out of Pepperdine. Lively has always had high K/9 rates and has gotten a lot better at limiting walks too.

    Lively's K/9 rates go like this over 5 levels (Fre-Jun in college) and 3 years: 6.5, 9.3, 8.6, 11.9, 15.8, while his BB/9 rates go like this: 5.4, 5.0, 2.4, 2.9, 2.3

    I really like that progression.

Moscot, meanwhile, has sort of bounced around stat-wise while moving up. He is my next pick though without a doubt.

What guys did in college doesn't do much for me. Their level of competition was drastically different from start to start, much less year to year and that is ignoring the different conferences.

As professionals, they are rather similar.
