As a defensive WAR skeptic, I don't think he was a 4 win player last year (btw, baseball-reference.com says he had 2.1 offensive wins and 1.5 defensive). On the other hand, I think WAR sells him way short for saying he's had an 8.5-win-above replacement career.
Every team in baseball could use Denorfia, some as a starter, some as a 4th OF, but he is innately useful.
Stick to your guns.
