Well, let's not get too excited about what those facts demonstrate. ERA and BA, blasts from the past. What else ya got?

    It's now official.

Not sure how this is a game changer for the Brewers. They just signed a pitcher who has been almost exactly as good as the Reds #5 starter Mike Leake. Definitely an improvement for them, but it's not like they signed a top of the rotation pitcher.

I still think the brewers will end the season at 4th place, but they have improved in the off season and if braun plays like he used to they can tease the top of the division...

I still think we have a better team, but the addition of garza made them better, nothing we did so far improved our team (perhaps the manager change, but letīs talk about that after the season)

I think the question with Garza at this point has got to be durability. Also, he did not do real hot in Texas as his last stop, and I believe Milwaukee plays somewhat of a hitter's park. He should have went to the Nats, where he could have been the Abe Lincoln guy on his days off in the President's Race.

Sabermetrics is this: A batter's goal is to extend the inning. Extend enough innings and you're going to score runs. Extend more innings than your opponent and you're going to score more runs than him.

Forget the rain. It's never an official game until the Reds piss away a run between third base and home plate. - Bluegrass Redleg
