Redzone Minor League Prospect Ranking #21 & 22

Kyle Waldrop edges Amir Garrett for the 20th spot.

For the next poll it's time to pick up things a bit. Vote for TWO candidates. Just two please. The top 2 vote getters will be ranked next. If the top two tie they'll be ranked alphabetically. If two tie for second place only the top vote getter will be ranked and we'll go to the next poll. I'm trying this because we're at the point where many prospects are bunched together. This will move things along a bit. Of course, you can vote for just one candidate if you choose.

Partch and Garrett. Two big arms, one closer than the other.

Next two on my list are Cisco and Romano. I'm probably the only one.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Continuing the tradition of picking two different pitchers than the poster before me . . . Guillon and Constante. This should be interesting.

18 votes so far and 16 are for pitchers...kind of tells you what the depth of the farm system is really.

For me Tyler Mahle's command and control stands out from every other arm getting consideration at the moment.

Picked Garcia too, largely based on Sickels ranking him 19th.
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

    Guillon/Partch

Cisco would probably be next. Gotta love that BB/9. Garrett needs to fully commit to baseball before I start liking him as a prospect again. For all I know, he might not even make it out of Dayton.
Arise and walk, come through. A world beyond that door is calling out for you. Arise and walk, come through. It's calling out for you.

Armstrong and Mahle. Quality upside and refinement. Garrett is a unicorn.

Meant to go Garrett and Chacin but habit kicked in and I only voted for 1 so it was Chacin.

I guess that I haven't been perusing the list very carefully. Henry Rodriguez isn't one of the Reds' Top Twenty prospects? No way. He hurt himself in 2012 and sometimes it takes awhile to get back to being 100%. He reached the AAA level at the age of 22. In his last 34 starts in 2013 he put up this slash line: .388/.449/.421/.870. Yep, he has my vote from here on out.

His glove probably won't start where his bat will play. One third of a good season probably doesn't change that too much.

I wouldn't put HRod in my top 30, but I'd rather give his bat a shot on the bench than some of the dreck they're accumulating
