Redzone Minor League Prospect Ranking #22 & 23

Amir Garrett was the runaway 21st pick but a tie for the next spot between Mahle and Guillon. We'll do two picks again and see if there are 2 clear front runners this time.

    Aristides Aquino and Gabriel Rosa.

I'm at a point on the list where I want to see big tools, even if the production hasn't shown up yet. Two 19-year-olds with multiple above-average tools? Sign me up.

Mahle's control and projectability run circles around Guillon.

Well, if control's your thing, Cisco's your man. Of course, Mahle's younger and hasn't had to deal with injuries. His stuff may be better, but I don't really know about that. Can anyone make an informed comparison between the two?

Mahle's got him on stuff, frame and arm action. Ideally, an organization would love to stockpile kids with Mahle's projectability. Cisco likely is maxed out in terms of velocity and looks like he'll be a career minor leaguer.

I am curious about Cisco. At signing he was said to be exceptionally polished with a fastball in the range of 88-91. Since then he has had surgery, which did not appear to affect his command of the strike zone. If that velocity has held up, it seems to me that a fastball with movement or sink when combined with good command of a mid 70's curve and a sinking change, might still be enough to be a back end of the rotation starter.

Any comments from those who have seen him pitch recently?

He struggled horribly, HORRIBLY, in the beginning of the year. Later on he started hitting the strike zone and getting results more in line with his stuff - so there is still hope and optimism even though his overall line looks bad.
