Who will be Opening Day starter?

My guess is Latos since Cueto missed so much of 2013 AND the fact that Duhsty is gone (As I'm SURE he would stick with Cueto as that's his M.O.). Could make an arguement for Cueto or Bailey easily. Just my guess.

Not to sound full of myself, but I think it will be me. During this off-season I've really been working on my gyroball. Plus, I've been throwing my fastball consistently at 45 mph.

    Or it will be Latos.

Too many uncertainties at this point.
Issues: will Latos's arm be healthy and fully ready to go to start the season?
will Cueto's side be healthy and fully ready to go to start the season?
will Bailey's hernia be healthy and fully ready to go to start the season?
will Cingrani's back be healthy and fully ready to go to start the season?
will Leake have long or short hair to start the season?
will Raisor allow the Reds to use his services on the field this season?
will Jim Coombs come out of retirement to throw a perfect game to start the season?

No doubt, it will be Latos.

    Cingrani as the dark horse.
    Is it "next season" yet?

I would go with Latos but could see the argument if Cueto has a solid healthy spring.

If you refer to Dusty Baker as "Duhsty", that's a pretty good sign nothing you have to say is worth hearing.

I'm hoping Leake, just to see TRF have a meltdown.

Plus, you've been running a lot, right? Best shape of your life?

I agree. It should be Latos.

I think Price gives Latos the chance to be the symbolic ace. Which means nothing. But he's also the best starter, which means something.

Symbolism probably does mean something for Latos, especially if the Reds can't extend Homer. I would imagine that if that happens, campaign "Sign Mat" officially starts with some serious ego stroking to start the season.

I think, if they're confident that Bailey will re-sign here, that they will have Bailey start. A lot of factors go into this, but I also think he could very well be our best pitcher this year.
I see great things in baseball. It's our game.
