2013 Seattle Mariners Prospect No. 25: Jamodrick McGruder
Jamodrick McGruder, 2B/OF, Everett AquaSox (A-, average age 21.3 in 2012)
5-8, 155 lbs, 21 years old
Bats: Left, Throws: Right
Acquired: 2012 Amateur Draft (9th round)
2012 Ranking: Unranked
ETA: 2017
Jamodrick McGruder is somewhat of a throwaway prospect for many as he’s a later round pick, a college junior, and extremely small. In Everett McGruder posted a high walk rate (13.1 percent), a reasonably low strikeout rate (12.4 percent), and stole 30 bases in only 65 games, and was only caught five times. McGruder’s chances of remaining at second base are fairly limited, but if he works hard and gets a lot of breaks he’s got a similar skill set to Chone Figgins, with less infield ability, and more potential to be a quality defensive outfielder.
This has the chance to be a very nice signing long term.

I think it was Jamodrick McGruder who led Harry and the gang to one of the horcruxes.

I've been thinking...I know, dangerous for this board but I've noticed a LOT of minor league signings coming from the Reds over the last week or two. I know Walt has mentioned creating competition in Spring Training, but what if he's adding minor league depth with these 'cast offs' to trade other prospects off for a bat? I know its far-fetched, but its Sunday, I don't work today, and the Super Bowl doesn't start until later....I'm bored.
Shades of #8.

Reds also signed RP Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
