I hope he can make a full recovery. I'm not a Sox fan by any stretch but he'll always have a place in my heart for 2004.

It really stinks about the cancer diagnosis, but with the business going under are you referring to his video game?

I cannot really feel sorry for him on that, he had no clue what he was doing and just threw money at it.

Sorry to hear that. I hope Curt gets the treatment he needs to win the battle. Mental attitude is important fighting any disease and Schilling is a battler.

I always thought he and Tom Browning were similar with Schilling having better stuff to go with the warrior mentality they both had.

Yeah but honestly it seemed to be something he was doing because he genuinely liked it and it ended up not working out. So I feel for him in that sense.

Hey, he gave it a shot. I've done the failed startup thing and it takes every ounce of energy you have. It's an all in kind of thing. I respect people that have tried, success or failure.

I have "The Man in the Arena" on my office wall. It's a good piece.

    Re: Curt Schilling has cancer

he is taking a leave of absence from ESPN where he just signed a new contract, which tells me it's pretty serious. Which means chemo and or radiation. A lot of TV personalities who are diagnosed try and work during their treatment but he obviously does not want to do this.
