Also, another guy I wouldn't necessarily vote for soon, but stuff wise, shouldn't McMyne be on here? I think he and Klimesh both have good stuff and could see a couple levels this year if they improve their control.

Gelalich was a 2nd RD pick, he will have a good 2014. Ryan Wright as well. Steve Selsky needs love, minor league player of the year in 2013 for the Reds.

Jose Diaz is 30 and really not a prospect anymore but I'm tempted to add him and pick him next. Yeah, that story about his weight loss - almost like he finally decided to go all in in a last attempt to make it - and he has the stuff. But is he a prospect? Is a 30 y/o in AAA a prospect? At what point does a guy go from prospect to just being a career minor leaguer? If Tim Crabbe at 26 doesn't make the team this year does he drop from prospect to career journeyman? Where is the tipping point?

I generally cut guys off at age 27. If you aren't in the bigs by then, you probably aren't sticking around. There are exceptions, but even 26 is usually pushing it.

Ryan Wright needs to be next. He is currently our number 8 prospect listed on the Reds website, yes I know MLB.com is not a very good indicator, but Wright should be already selected.

In 2011: .301 .351 OBP 8 HR 37 RBI

In 2012: .282 .331 OBP 10 HR 67 RBI

In 2013: .265 .311 OBP 8 HR 52 RBI

2014 will be a bounce back year for Wright. Although he is 24 years old, I think he's going the same route as Todd Frazier. Could spend all of 2014 in AA or could make it to Louisville by the end of this year. Will make it to the Reds by age 26 or 27. Cheap and controllable thru the prime of his career.

The fact that he is ranked #8 tells you that anything they have listed means absolutely nothing. There is not a single reasoning you could use to rank him 8th in the system. I am not sure he would be the 8th best prospect among the 2013 Dayton Dragons crop.

Can't argue too much with Silverio here except that his low BB rate needs to get better. The 2013 high HR total could be a Bakersfield aided anomaly.

Going with wild cards here. If Langfield regains his pre-surgery form, he is top ten. I also like Layne Somsen. He missed almost two years of college pitching following Tommy John surgery at age 20. Thus he was old for the league at Billings. In high school he was an intelligent student and good all around multi-sport athlete with a good fastball. The combination of playing for South Dakota State and the arm problems no doubt reduced his draft value. Still, he pitched well in his first year. It would not be too surprising to see him moved to starter in the future.

Good info on Somsen. He indeed pitched very well at Billings, but I kind of dismissed him because of his age. Glad you explained it. He's definitely a guy to follow.

Henry Rodriguez is still with the Reds, back in AAA Louisville.
Only 23 years old, the kid can hit. Should be on this list and should be the next player off the board.

Only 20. Five tool potential. Last year was disappointing, but according to Doug's site, he was hurt. Had a very good 2012

All that's left on the board are longshots. This guy should've been voted in well before #45, in my uninformed opinion
