Hit a home run and win San Diego Padres season tickets

    http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/sd/fan_forum/swing.jsp

On March 15th, registered people over the age of 15, get one swing against a pitching machine and if you hit a home run, you win season tickets.

The major rules are that you get 2 pitches from the machine, no more. So swing away.
You must use a bat provided by the Padres.
If you played DI college baseball, you can't participate.
If you played professional ball (affiliated or not), you can't participate.

There are other small rules, but those are the big ones.

    Pretty cool contest.

Not even major leaguers can hit balls out of that place.

Do they test for PED's? If not, I'm considering it.

I read the rules. It stated nothing in there about PED's.

I'd be surprised if anyone reached within 30 feet of the fence.

I'd love it if the Reds did something like this. I'd definitely go for it!

I wonder how fast the pitches will be thrown. I would think the right person could pull one out, especially if they practiced. The lines are 334 and 322.

I might swing and miss once out of two tries. I might miss both who knows. Never was good at this game.

If the Pads want any kick out of this promotion, they better hope a few jocks show up and win.

Another awesome dream come true promo would be batting against a SD pitcher and the starting infield to see if you can get a hit.

It's like the half court shot in basketball. But with 900 liability forms to fill out!

The Durham Bulls did this several years ago at a ticket sales event to win a car I think. I tried it out, hit a nice long shot but it died just short of the wall.
