Re: Redszone final prospect poll for Spring 2013

Do we know for certain that Marquez Smith is still in the organization? On a larger scale, I've been unable to find a place that lists all of a club's minor-leaguers who are under contract. An organizational roster, so to speak. Is there such a site?

Re: Redszone final prospect poll for Spring 2013

I admittedly dont know anything about what he throws, and (about to be) 21 seems pretty old for a kid who pitched in the DSL last year, but I love Luis Gonzalez's production.
    48.1 IP, 47 K, 34 hits, 3 BB, 1.49 ERA for the 6'1" Venezuelan lefty.

Also figured now was the time for a couple guys in the Fellhauer/Bryson Smith mold, as well as power armed RP like Klimesh and McMyne.
I may not be fast, but I sure am slow.

    Not really, no.

The best place to start is the media guide, and then try to keep your own when transactions are announced (Baseball America has a weekly transaction report). I have tried it in the past, but I always wind up missing some.

Marquez Smith - MiLB.com still lists him as active and a Red. Don't know how current they are.

I don't either, but Smith is still in the organization.

Thank you for the excellent work. I'm not big on prospect rankings, which I think often reflect popularity and last year's statistics. But this one was very well done.

I particularly liked your practical decisions to move things along when the results were obvious.

One small thing, there's a typo in the title of this thread, it says 2013. You might want to fix it for posterity, so we can all look back accurately at this fine work. And maybe if someone could add the year to the thread that describes the overall poll results.

    Thanks again.
