    Re: Redszone NFL Mock Draft

With the departure of Mike Williams in free agency, the Bucs would be in need of a new WR to start alongside Vincent Jackson anyway. With the selection of Bridgewater in the first round, the need to give him weapons increases as well.

    JORDAN MATTHEWS, WR Vanderbilt

Matthews produced at a high level in the SEC, possesses the type of size/speed combination that allows him to work both was a traditional WR2 or a slot WR in other formations. He may be a slight overdraft here, but the need at WR is too glaring for Tampa to allow another full round to pass before getting in on the action.

The Jags start rebuilding the O....... DONTE MONCRIEF, WR Ole Miss

The Jags decide to grab a QB in 3. I would have grabbed Carr if he made it to me.

I could see this pick being a guy like Jimmy Garoppolo -- who I'm not necessarily in love with, but would probably represent the last shot to get a guy who projects out to a potential starter. I think the drop off after Garoppolo (down to guys like Mettenberger, McCarron, and Murray) is pretty steep.

I really considered Garrapolo (and someone else at QB) but quite frankly took a gamble that I could get him or the other guy in third.

I don't think Mettenberger is anywhere close to the same type of prospect as McCarron or Murray. Before the injury, Mettenberger was a consensus first round pick and has one of the best arms in the draft. He would almost certainly go ahead of Garoppolo without the injury and may still.

Apparently McCarron is saying that he's being told to expect to be picked between 16 and 35, which seems crazy to me.

    DT Louis Nix, Notre Dame

I really wanted Moses; when Jax snatched him away I went BPA.

After addressing the secondary and wideout positions in the first round, the St Louis Rams select Joel Bitonio, OT from Nevada. Bitonio has the ability to play all three offensive line positions and is a first round projection.

    2. Sammy Watkins (WR -Clemson)
    13. Darqueze Dennard (CB- Michigan State)
    44. Joel Bitonio (OL- Nevada)
