Molina pulled a Pierzynski with the tying run on 3rd.

Molina drives in 2 in the top of the 9th for a 5-3 lead -- ST. Loo still hitting --- guess it's crazy to hope for a sweep

Cubbies have something brewing in bottom of 9th -- one on 2nd with 2 outs now 5-4

    but luck runs out

    Same here. Weird.

And their service has been less than ideal this year in general.

I had problems too. Glad it just wasn't me. I couldn't get it on my laptop but I could on my desktop. Really weird. I have noticed more problems this year. Lot more stalling and rebooting. I didn't know if it was Verizon or MLBTV that had the problems.

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Vin Scully is incredible to listen to. You all probably know that. But it's amazing how much knowledge he transmits to fill the airwaves between pitches. In a Dee Gordon at bat tonight.... "Dee's father was a bombadeer in the Air Force before retiring to be a 911 operator. Affeldt is actually an author and has written two books."

Wish more would copy his delivery and methodology to preserve it going forward.

Except Dee's father was actually a Major League Baseball pitcher who retired 4 years ago

Ah I was a batter off from my quote then. Fun challenge... find out who's dad he was talking about?

Keep an eye on Texas where Yu Darvish is having a big night against Boston through 8. Darvish is at 113 pitches
