The role of the Reds was played by the Pirates tonight.
Down 6-5 in the ninth, with the bases loaded and no one out, the Pirates popped out to first, then hit into a 1-2-3 double play to end the game.

Cubbies putting a whuppin on the Cards, 9-2 right now.
Cubbies ravish the Cardinals 17-5.
Delscalso came in to get the last out of the top of the ninth, as the Cards scored 6 runs that inning alone against Randy Choate.

Anytime the Cards use a position player to pitch...I get a warm fuzzy feeling deep in my heart. :O)

That 1B who hit 2 GS against the Reds popped up with BL....and 0 outs....after 4 pitch walk he hit the first pitch and it was so high and out of the zone you would have thought it was Cozart hitting.
That is the key. DO NOT throw him a strike on the first pitch.
Not saying you should not swing at the 1st one.......but hitters who are know to do that are not going to get a fat one to hit right away.
The brothers finally meet.
