Down 6-5 in the ninth, with the bases loaded and no one out, the Pirates popped out to first, then hit into a 1-2-3 double play to end the game.

they were both a couple of bad boys back then. Teixeira hit .301 with 43 HR and 143 RBIs. Rodriquez had 45 saves.

That 1B who hit 2 GS against the Reds popped up with BL....and 0 outs....after 4 pitch walk he hit the first pitch and it was so high and out of the zone you would have thought it was Cozart hitting.

That is the key. DO NOT throw him a strike on the first pitch.

Not saying you should not swing at the 1st one.......but hitters who are know to do that are not going to get a fat one to hit right away.

I had to laugh at that 1b line...he had 2 HRs and 12 RBI as of that game. Well, I can account for the 2 HRs and 8 of the RBI. Talk about a historic fluke.
