Ironic because I have many pleasant memories of Krod coming in to shut down the Evil Empire as an Angel back in the day.

Just reading Teixeira homers off K-Rod feels like something that happened in 2005 or so.

The role of the Reds was played by the Pirates tonight.

Down 6-5 in the ninth, with the bases loaded and no one out, the Pirates popped out to first, then hit into a 1-2-3 double play to end the game.

they were both a couple of bad boys back then. Teixeira hit .301 with 43 HR and 143 RBIs. Rodriquez had 45 saves.

    Cubbies ravish the Cardinals 17-5.

Delscalso came in to get the last out of the top of the ninth, as the Cards scored 6 runs that inning alone against Randy Choate.

Not only that They scored 6 runs off him in one inning when they only scored 5 in the whole game. Just funning 75,76,90.

Anytime the Cards use a position player to pitch...I get a warm fuzzy feeling deep in my heart. :O)

And we thought it was bad when the Rockies routed the Reds on Saturday. At least it was the Rockies.

That 1B who hit 2 GS against the Reds popped up with BL....and 0 outs....after 4 pitch walk he hit the first pitch and it was so high and out of the zone you would have thought it was Cozart hitting.

That is the key. DO NOT throw him a strike on the first pitch.

Not saying you should not swing at the 1st one.......but hitters who are know to do that are not going to get a fat one to hit right away.

I had to laugh at that 1b line...he had 2 HRs and 12 RBI as of that game. Well, I can account for the 2 HRs and 8 of the RBI. Talk about a historic fluke.
