    Re: Scoreboard Watching 2014

I stayed up to watch the Dodgers win the NL west. Kershaw is something else. Plus Carl Crawford reached base 2.5 times more than the Reds tonight by himself. So that's how it's done Redlegs.
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

In the most important game played to info, the Pirates best the Braves 10-1, moving them to 1 game behind the Cards for the NL Central title.

The Pirates end their season with three games in Cincy against the Reds, while the Cards play three in Az. against the D-Backs. I hope the Reds start Hoover, Ondrusek and Dennick in the final three games this season

Brewers are 4th team in Wild Card Era (since 1995) to miss playoffs after spending at least 150 days in 1st place

Diamondbacks beat the Cardinals so that means game 162 will decide the NL Central.
Tigers ahead of Royals by one game, so that mean game 162 will decide the AL Central.
If the Mariners win tonight, currently tied 1-1, then they will be behind the A's by one game, so that means game 162 will described the second AL wild card.

All that means is that it is possible that there will be three tie breaking games on Monday.

    Who are the other 3?

Too much bourbon for me to look it up at this hour.

In the macro view of baseball in general it's been a great season.....in the Cincinnati microcosm it sure has stunk
99% of all numbers only tell 33% of the story so when looking at the numbers remember that numbers is plural...

The Tigers won, so the only chance left for a game 163 tomorrow would be OAK, who lead TEX 2-0 in the 4th, and SEA, game just started vs. LAA.

The A's win, no game tomorrow.

I was coming home from the grocery store and was listening to the last inning. A great call by Nats announcer Charlie Slowes. He was just a little excited. First no hitter by a Nats pitcher since moving to DC. First no hitter pitched in DC since 1931.
