    Scoreboard Watching 2014

The season is underway, figure we need one of these threads to comment on non-Reds games.

Andrew Brown just hit a 3 run HR off of Stephen Strasburg.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Nice job, Servo.

Hopefully, somewhere down the line, these games might mean something to the Reds.

I wonder if that's the first and last time that sentence will ever be written.

Bryce Harper just took a leg to the head sliding into 2nd base, he is slow to get up and is going to leave the game.

I really have grown to dislike the Pirates, and you can't call it sour grapes because I really have no ill will towards the Phillies or Giants.

Strasburg has shown himself to be more human the last couple years.

I guess so, since I had to look his name up to even remember who he was. I vaguely remember him now but would've totally forgotten he took 20 at bats as a 26 year old rookie for the Cardinals in 2011 if I had not just looked his name up He's now on his fourth season with his fourth team. Not sure how a guy like this even gets a job.

I did not expect Braun to be booed at Miller Ballpark......but he gets an ovation that is also undeserved. I would have liked just complete silence. That would have been epic.

But cheer him like he just came back from some illness?

That seemed like a horrible waste of a challenge by the Cubs manager.

Braun has worked his butt off trying to get the people of Milwaukee back on his side. Tons of outreach and tons of apologies (of varying quality).

I don't condone what he did, but he served his suspension and fans are very willing to forgive if players own up sincerely and try to move on (especially when the player in question has been one of few bright spots for them). It's the anti-Bonds, the anti-ARod approach.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

It took me way longer than it should have to figure out what that new "C" stands for in MLB's Gameday line score. For a second I thought it had something to do with each team's catcher...
