“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Since when did Dave Duncan become the pitching coach for Yankees?

Sox can't complain, since Buchholz was caught doing the same thing last year,

    Cards defense hurting them:

Down 3-1 to Cubbies in the 8th. First and last runs scored due to poor defense.

Carpenter takes strike three...a legit strike three unlike Pena's.

Only it's not, according to the ump.

So he drives in the tying run on the next pitch. Thanks, blue!

I'm beginning to think that the MLB umps are tired of calling balls and strikes, so they are purposefully doing a terrible job of it this year in order to force Selig to start using an automated strikezone.

The other possibility is that the Umps resent the replay system. They know that balls and strikes are not challengable. They also know that the managers can not complain inpublic or to the media about missed calls on balls and strikes. they also know the umpires union will not allow terrible umpires to be disciplined.

Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

BAD year for MLB umpires...shows how bad they truly are.

Poor Bronson out in Arizona is making Homer look like Cy Young by comparison so far.

I kind of wonder if pitching in a climate that's warm pretty much all season would not be very good for him. I know he had some amazing starts in the cold Cincinnati air during April more than a few times.

George Springer gets his first hit in the big leagues, a little dribbler that goes for an infield hit.

Volquez has given up 8 in 7 innings to the Brewers but leads 4-2 in the bottom of the inning
