Is that the worst 7-8 hitter in the NL right now? Completely understand it is because of Mez being injured, but wowzer.

Radar does not look good at all for getting the game in. Tomorrow's forecast is even worse.

ok, I give up.. tried to reply twice and response got eaten.

The Reds 7-8 hitters are fine. Astros are worse. Brewers and Cubs are comparable (depends on the day and who is playing).
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

I said to my wife this morning that I bet the Reds and Cardinals wish they had played yesterday and then had the off day today. It was absolutely gorgeous all day.

It could be a while before the Reds get to play again.

There is an 80% chance of rain tonight, 90% tomorrow and 80% chance of rain for the first game in New York Friday night.

Any idea what's actually going on? FSO is showing basketball and don't have their usual "Rain Delay" banner under their logo. I'm assuming things are delayed right now?

Well I'm here but in my car. Went and got my calendar-then bought a sub at Jimmy Johns. Since it's thundering and lightning you can't sit in the seats. Might as well ride it out. Also, brought my Nook to read while it stays light.

Nevermind, FSO just switched over to Reds Live in the middle of a lineup discussion. Guess somebody was asleep at the wheel.

At this point point they act like the game is on but, they have not given any sort of start time.

Edit: seeing as it's supposed to be much worse conditions tomorrow it would seem that they'll do everything they can to play this game tonight.

A rainout might help the Reds, pushing all the starting pitchers one day, making Simon starting unnecessary.

CTrent did tweet that they would likely get the game in, however.

Our beat writer said that no way that this starts until 8:30. And it will likely be later. Wish I knew if he meant eastern or central.
