So, are they going to use Lorenzen as a starter? If so, kind of surprised they would start him at AA. That infield needs a lot of help.

My goodness that Louisville roster is pathetic.
I may not be fast, but I sure am slow.

In terms of prospects, yes, but it is full of AAAA journeymen depth, and I think they will be a better team win-lose wise then the last two years.

Most Triple-A rosters aren't full of prospects. Real prospects don't stay in Triple-A long.

    Yep

AAA has basically evolved into the 26th-50th spots on the MLB roster. Almost every AAA team is chock full of emergency backups for the MLB squad, with less than a handful of legit prospects.

    Stephenson
    Moscot
    Contreras
    Corcino
    Lorenzen

is a hell of a Pensacola rotation. Also like the OF of Lutz-Y-Rod-Duran. Infield is pathetic, but that's true systemwide.

Someone started a thread during the offseason speculating about Louisville's rotation. Right now it's:

    Jeff Francis
    Tim Crabbe
    Chien-Ming Wang
    David Holmberg
    Josh Smith

Of course that will change eventually.

That is interesting. The Bats official site listed Smith as a reliever and Rogers as a starter. I guess we will find out soon enough.

I heard last night that Jeff Fassero has been replaced by Mark Wiggans for a couple of games.

Josh Smith gets his first start for the Bats tonight after working four innings in the 13 inking win Saturday. So far Rogers has been working shorter stints out of the bullpen.
