Probably not, but if he can hit, he might not be worse than Kepp or Hairston were.

Bakersfield is now up 6-1 in the fifth. Junior Arias, who makes Billy Hamilton look like he's carrying Matt Adams on his back, now has 6 stolen bases on the season.

Traveioso gives up his first earned run of the day in the bottom of the third under pretty rough circumstances. He gave up a single then his catcher threw the ball into centerfield on a caught stealing attempt which advanced the runner to third and then a ground ball brought in the run. Through three innings, he has two Ks and 1 BB.

    Or Rich Aurilia.
A summer watching a bad Reds' team, is still a pretty good summer.

After 3.5, the Dragons lead 2-1. A walk to Elizalde was followed by singles off the bats of Buckley, Rahier and Gelalich. Gelalich's base knock drove home both runs.

Traveioso done after five more good innings. I am loving the start from the Reds starting pitching prospects.
