Have you ever disagreed with a doctor?

Do you have a medical degree?

But your opinion is based on a limited amount of data and a skill set not able to process the data if we had it all.

The data is immense in this scenario, immense

A player that didn't age well. Not the best example (if in fact true).

Ok. Only regarded as one of the very best in baseball.

You're making it sound more complicated than it is, IMO. Not being a doctor, this particular conversation. We have evidence of things like Kremchek giving Ryan Madson a clean bill of health, right before Madson has to miss the entire season. Later Madson is quoted as saying it was an injury he had been playing through since the previous season. That's one of many examples of Kremchek -- in the opinion of some Reds' fans -- falling short of his duties.

Wow, the media darling who loves doing interviews gets a media guy to say something nice about him. Yep, that settles it.

I don't have a problem with how the doctors handled Latos, I do have a problem with how the Reds handled Latos. They were overly cautious with him, in my opinion. I honestly believe that if they were more aggressive with him off the knee surgery, he's be fine by now. At the very least, he wouldn't be worse off than he is now.

So how does a front office make a decisions about a team doc, considering they ain't doctors. Hey, how do I?

I'm sure he's a great surgeon but he's got a lousy record as a diagnostician.

Believe it or not sometimes the Doctors pays the team to be listed as the team Doctors.

He won a World Series, two Gold Gloves and made three All-Star appearances after the surgery (if in fact true).

Kerry Wood also went to Dr. Kremchek in 2005, and following rehab had four more productive seasons as a big-league reliever, including an All-Star appearance (if in fact true).

Dr. Timothy Kremchek is a well-respected member of the medical community, whether you like it or not.

Next time think twice before challenging someone's integrity (both Dr. Kremchek's and mine). I didn't appreciate your jab that I may have been less than truthful with my response to your question. I'm not going to make crap up to make you look bad. You do a good enough job of that on your own.

    Re: Is it time?

The problem isn't the doctor. The problem is all the happy talk in the media about injured players leading ultimately to disappointment.

It's probably not just the Reds. I don't listen anymore when teams say two weeks, or four weeks or six weeks or whatever. I take it all as spin.
