Unless you're a doctor, you should probably just shut up on this topic because you have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

So none of you ask for second opinions?

Teams ask for second opinions all the time. In fact, Dr. Kremchek is usually the doctor they ask for a second opinion...

    Re: Is it time?

I haven't posted in here for a long time. I have been discouraged by many different topics. I am not one to say I am the most knowledgeable, nor do I like to put anyone down. I just miss the forums from when I started posting back almost 8 years ago. I love the times when people would post an opinion, and back that opinion up with statistics and sources and links, and someone would argue with them using statistics, opinions, and links. I come on now and read quite a bit, and this thread has taken the cake. We are now blaming our woes on Dr. Tim. We have a lot of great people in redszone land here, but these kinds of threads need to stop. If you are going to bash a great doctor, back it up with real, information, not that Madson seemed to be damaged goods. I am very glad that only 2 people seem to think this was a thread worth anything. Now, let's go back to discussing the merits of OBP, OPS, and ERA+

The point is. If Doc Hollywood can not tell us the truth (for legal reasons or whatever), then he should just keep his mouth shut and stop giving false updates.
He has a history of being way overly optimistic to give the fan base false hope.
In all honesty, when he says something like "Latos should be fine and throwing in X days".. That gives me zero confidence whatsoever, because of all the fake news he's given us.

[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

I don't think the eighties ended until Nevermind came out in late '91, so it still may have been the eighties.

As far as the poll question goes, I always blame my doctor if I get sick a lot, don't you? Forget diet and exercise and all that!

The feel of the 80's certainly carried into the early 90's, and the arrival of Nirvana is a good example of the 90's officially beginning, but as a cinephile, seeing someone incorrectly give the year (or in this case, decade) of a film just screams for a correction.

As far as Kremchek goes, I don't really care either way. I just like making the poll contest closer, so I voted yes.

This is what Sums this thread up. Can we agree that he has had success with actually getting baseball players back in good health? But that he also has a serious problem with recovery time. Can we agree on this? If not, then all you guys calling these two out are as ignorant as you say they are.

And I will hate Nirvana forever for that.

There are a lot more doctors on this board than I ever imagined, it seems.

I love that this thread devolved into discussion about Talking Heads, The Band, and Nirvana--three of my favorites. Silver lining, I guess...

Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

Other examples, Sean Marshall has had a so called ''tired'' arm for over a year now. Last season, Ryan Haingian-sp went on the D.L. with a bad thumb and turned out to have a bad obqublic-sp muscle. How does that happen? Also, Doc Hollywood covered Larkin's and Griffery behinds to death!

If you take your car to a mechanic for a new water pump, and after picking it up your transmission starts to slip, is your mechanic a bad one?

His concern should be the team's welfare instead of his lousy stinking rep!
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.
