Heisey is about the last guy I want up facing anyone with control problems.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

They just won't follow Votto's lead. They refuse to take pitches against one of the nastiest pitchers in the league when he can't find the strike zone. Unbelievable.

It's talent. It's not like these guys are stupid or unable to be coached. They don't have the same ability to recognize pitches as Votto and all three have shown that throughout their career. Nothing is going to change that now.

That may be all he gets. With a man on 3rd facing a pitcher who can't find the strike zone, the Reds go down 1-2-3 on maybe 3 or 4 total pitches that were strikes. I hope we can enjoy the lead for a while.

Nice job by Cueto to battle back there from 3-0.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

It is more than talent in that instance. Votto got 4 breaking balls that were never close to strikes. Half of them the catcher couldn't catch. He threw more fastballs to the other guys. BP was a fastball down the middle.

Appeared to be a nice frame by Pena, even if it was a strike anyway.

Nice framing from Pena on that one

It doesn't take talent to take a strike.

Should've scored more in the first inning, but what's done is done.

I don't like Neil Walker - seems to be a Reds killer.

He does. I am just glad the list of "reds killers" is much smaller than in the past. I remember in the mid 00's Billy Hall types were on every team against Reds pitching.

Yea, I wasn't too bothered by Phillips and Heisey...at least they waited for a strike. Frazier swung at two balls in the dirt and hit a dribbler on the second one. We've got the lead and Cueto appears to be 'ON' today, so I won't be too bothered. Let's go RED SURGE!!!
