Pena should be Cueto primary catcher.

Wow the two just work very well together with great chemistry. Love Mes's bat but Cueto looked very uncomfortable with him catching in his last outing.

Probably a coincidence. I think Johnny will be fine whoever catches him.

I think that Cueto would even pitch this well if I were catching.

Over/under on posts until someone brings up catcher-ERA? I'll take the under on 25.

    No. Just no.

We've been through the "personal catcher" thing. It's a bad idea. Both catchers need to get experience working with EVERY pitcher on the staff. Because a time will come when a catcher gets dinged up and needs to sit. You don't want a catcher learning the ropes with a pitcher at a critical time of the season. Mix it up early and often.
Chapman to the rotation!!!! Do it already!!!!

Negative, Ghost Rider. The pattern is full. Request for fly by: denied.

I do love how everybody around here was cold on Cueto and hot on Homer Bailey before the season started. Three games but Johnny's been dominant while Homer's getting rocked.

I think that's pretty reasonable. Johnny was establishing a bit of an injury history for himself going for a little over a season. He's not even out of the woods yet, but he's showing enough to erase some doubts. I don't even see why that should be funny, it seems pretty logical to me.
They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

I doubt anybody doubts how awesome Cueto is, but I think everything said about him in a bad light was in regards to his health.

Cueto was great last year too, he just couldn't stay on the mound.

Also, to the OP, Mesoraco only needs to be sitting when Price wants to give him a day off, nothing to do with who the Reds have on the mound that day.

Has anyone on the board questioned whether or not Johnny could pitch (maybe they have and I just missed it) or was it about him staying healthy? If it was about him staying healthy then your post doesn't really apply.

Maybe, but they tend to be this time of year. What should we do in the meantime? Shut down redszone until mid-season or so?
