Wow the two just work very well together with great chemistry. Love Mes's bat but Cueto looked very uncomfortable with him catching in his last outing.

Probably a coincidence. I think Johnny will be fine whoever catches him.

Price said in the interview they have good chemistry. If you watched cuetos body language his last outing it was not good and mes I believe has only caught him in like 2 or 3 games. I can pretty much see this being an every start tandem. Plus ive never seen cueto use his cutter 9r curve ball as much as he did today, not sure if thats pena but he was brilliant.
Not this again? Really? Its a legitimate question fortybore and one im pretty positive we're gonna see happen. Move along now if you dont like the thread buddy and no this has nothing do with catching era. I want mes out there as much as possible the guy can hit but for the early part of the season I think you have to stick with this tandem.
I think that Cueto would even pitch this well if I were catching.

Not only that, but you'd probably get a thread started suggesting YOU should be Cueto's new personal catcher!
Look, I'm not closed-minded enough to not acknowledge that some guys might work better together than others. But it has been 3 starts for Cueto. And is it worth taking Mesoraco's bat out of the lineup to do such a thing? There is no way to know that right now.
Over/under on posts until someone brings up catcher-ERA? I'll take the under on 25.

No. Just no.
We've been through the "personal catcher" thing. It's a bad idea. Both catchers need to get experience working with EVERY pitcher on the staff. Because a time will come when a catcher gets dinged up and needs to sit. You don't want a catcher learning the ropes with a pitcher at a critical time of the season. Mix it up early and often.
I'm curious if Fangraphs has ever done the validity of catcher's ERA. Anyone seen an article like that?
Negative, Ghost Rider. The pattern is full. Request for fly by: denied.
