    We're good again!

Good win today and great to win our second straight series. Hopefully we can take it right to the Pirates at PNC.

This is all a conspiracy since it's Bud's last year and all.

After this game, Rocco is now sporting the following stat line:

    .515 AVG
    .553 OBP
    .970 SLG
    1.522 OPS

I can't even do that on MLB The Show.

I thought Homer was lucky today. I'm probably in the minority, but it unnerved me to see him miss pitch after pitch. He went 3-2 with so many batters. I guess the result was fine, but he seemed to be on the edge of a big inning every inning. He's not sharp yet. I hope he finds it soon.

We saw the real Manny Para today Was it the real Manny or the Manny we saw earlier. I still don't trust Manny Para in any game. Also, our other lefty superstar out of the pen was less than impressive today. Here's a guy who is supposed to be tough on left handers and the first two he faces get hits. Yes, he didn't let any damage happen, but it was really shaky. Hopefully that was just first time jitters, but triple digit pitches shows me he is still on the road to recovery.

They're better than most people expected...but they're not THIS good. The pitching will regress.

Homer's still not there yet. But it was improvement. Vast improvement. That's all I'm looking for.

I'm with you on Parra. I loved the results he had last year, but I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm hesitant to feel confident about him in exactly the same way I felt with David Weathers. He mostly got the job done...but I was nervous every time.

With regards to Marshall...I'm not worried about him at all. You've got to expect some rust with him. But his breaking stuff looked sharp. He was right on the edge of the zone on pretty much every one of them. He just needs reps I think. His track record speaks for itself. If he's healthy, he's in my pen without a doubt. (what do you mean with "triple digit pitches"?)
