Maybe Moscot will be the first to get the bump to Louisville, creating a spot for Lively in the Pensacola rotation sometime in the next month.

Also seems strange they would drop Yorman in the batting order given how he's been hitting.

He hadn't hit since coming off of the DL. HE was 0-10 with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks until today.

Moscot skipped the Dayton level. I doubt the Reds will push him to Louisville for awhile. He's been very successful, seems like a very good draft choice. But hope they don't push him too fast after skipping a level.

As for Lively, as soon as the Reds think he's ready, he should move up. Somebody in the Pensacola rotation will just have to move to the bullpen or up a level, or down a level. They always made room for Cingrani when it was time to move up, and they should do the same for the other very good prospects.

The Reds didn't have a rotation with guys like the current Pensacola rotation has when they needed to make room for Cingrani. Outside of Lively and Travieso, the other five top starting prospects are all in Pensacola's rotation.

If I'm the Reds, there's no way I'm letting Corcino block Lively. And Contreras is hurt so there's an opening there.

If the objective is to get the best pitchers to the major leagues, then they have to move some guys faster than others.

You might not, but the Reds may. Corcino is on the 40-man roster. Corcino has stuff. Corcino has shown some flashes this year that you didn't see last year.

Move Moscot up if you must. He has 81.1 innings in Double-A with a 2.43 ERA over the last two seasons.

Contreras leaves open a spot for now, but when he is back you have to figure something out, which is why you haven't seen a move. Last week Jeff Graupe said on the Blue Wahoos radio that if Lively continues it for a few more starts they will start looking at making a move to get him moved up. So start thinking about what to do to start June.

    Dayton is hosting South Bend.

Daniel Wright took the ball for Dayton. He has turned in a solid outing, leaving with two outs in the sixth. Dayton trails 3-1. Wright's line: 5.2IP 7H 3R 2ER 1BB 7K. He is responsible for the runner on first. Evan Mitchell is coming on to nip this two-out rally in the bud. And he did so successfully, fanning a Silver Hawks' batter.

Dayton was held hitless until Tanner Rahier homered leading off the fifth inning. It was his fifth long ball on the seasons.

Sebastien Elizalde is back in the lineup.
Zero chance the Reds miss the playoffs!

Ervin has been a real bummer this year.

Im as disappointed with Corcino as anyone. I ranked him as my #2 prospect last year. That said, a lot of RZ posters forget how young he is.
I may not be fast, but I sure am slow.

Couldn't agree more. I think after his debut that I just had unrealistic expectations of him blowing through the minor leagues.

Nobody is forgetting Corcino's age. He's now a "maybe" while Lively is a "probably" and so Lively should have priority. It's that simple.
