That baserunning play by Hamilton does not show up in the box score, but it was huge.

How much longer can Price justify batting Phillips ahead of Mesoraco?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

A lot of what BH did there will not show up on any metric either...ie a rattled Lee throwing 4 straight balls to Heisey, the botched pickoff play because of his speed allowing Heisey to take second intend of being out.

Why wouldn't you? Phillips has been raking too.

I posted this earlier and thought it was interesting...what with all the Choo vs. Billy arguments that seem to go on here.

Billy's OBP is under .300, and he's scored 18...now 19 runs and driven 6, while Choo is over .400, and has scored 20 and driven in 11.

Doesn't account for pinch running and FC times on base obviously, and runs scored is a team stat, but make of those numbers what you will.

Agreed. Especially the 4 pitch walk to heisey. How often does Lee do that?

At this point with Bruce and Votto out I think the best lineup would be Phillips hitting 3rd and Mesoraco cleanup
