    I always really liked Eric Chavez, it's too bad injuries struck him so much.

    I didn't realize how far Eric Chavez had fallen. Injuries suck... I rooted for him a lot back in the Moneyball days.

    Chavez has been a very good bench hitter for the DBacks, excellent numbers, including this year and last. But he's now strictly a bench player.

    I really hoped the Reds would get him this off-season, would have been a great addition as a bench player to this offense.
