Not after he hit 2 hr's the night before prior to a bit of a slump on a west coast trip. It is what it is though, oh well.

No need to start sticking him in foreign spots based on a hot few months. Had this idea bloomed in spring training that's one thing...but I understand not messing with him now.
I understand it too, but the team really needs some wins or they will be out of it. And the Reds have used so many guys at first, even Bernadina who hadn't played there since Rookie ball.

At least they can't get no-hit. So they've got that going for them.

    Parra doubles with 2 out.

Thom is literally incapable of saying the words "Paul Goldschmidt" without also saying "the league's leading run producer the last two years."

    - - - Updated - - -

Wow. Cueto just blew away said leading run producer on 3 pitches.

I think Johnny has settled in. He made Goldschmidt look silly striking him out on 3 pitches.

Yup, unfortunately McCarthy looks good too...at least against this offense.

Hamilton seems to learn really quickly. Looks awful in his first at bat against a new (to him) pitcher, than delivers a solid hit in the second.

Billy just needs to walk more. It's true for several Reds, Cozart, Phillips recently.
    Heisey.

But in Billy's case it would make all the difference. He has to hit his way on base too often.

Hasn't he been praised throughout his minor league career for his baseball IQ?

The D-Backs broadcasters have been talking about how McCarthy keeps having one bad inning - couple of runs may be all Cueto needs.
