When does the mass exodus of Pensacola start?

The majority of the players with Pensacola have played roughly the equivalent of a full season of Double A. While others teams have released and promoted agressively, it's seems everything with the Reds in Pensacola has stalled. So when will we see some new players?

I'm guessing soon. Swapping Vincej and Blandino next week wouldn't be a surprise. I'd be shocked if Stephenson spends the rest of the year in Pensacola. Wouldn't surprise me to see Ervin move up. Wouldn't be surprised to see Travieso move up soon either.

Doug, I was looking at the SS vacancy at Louisville. Is Veras a true SS? Is it possible that Vincej goes up instead of down?

The Blue Wahoos end the first half with the worst record in all Double-A baseball.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I'm very concerned about us losing Pensacola after 2016 season.

I'm pretty sure we get to keep the players though.

    Can we appeal that part?

Season By Season so far in Pensacola:

    2012 — 34-35 (First Half), 34-35 (Second Half).

    2013 — 25-44 (First Half), 34-35 (Second Half).

    2014 — 31-39 (First Half), 29-41 (Second Half).

    2015 — 25-43 (First Half)

    Final Season As Carolina Mudcats

    2011 — 23-47 (First Half), 30-39 (Second Half).

I will forgive the Reds if they send all rehabbers here.

I just find it curious. The Dragons and before the Tortugas, the Blaze all had pretty good success most of those years (ups and downs but nothing like the losing at AA). Lots of exciting kids at A and A+. Then they hit AA and pffft. Slam into a wall every time.

The jump to Double-A isn't considered the toughest one for no reason.

I know. I constantly tell myself "wait and see what he does in AA" anymore before I get too hyped on a kid in A ball. It's hard not to get excited about a LaValley, for instance, but until he hits in AA I am telling myself "hopefully this isn't a low minors mirage"

But it should be just as tough for prospects in every other organization. There has to be a systemic reason why the Reds have not been able to field competitive teams at AA year-after-year despite stocking those clubs with guys from successful single-A and rookie ball teams. For some reason or another, Reds prospects turn into the Bad News Bears the moment they arrive in Pensacola.

So what's your take on Winker, Doug? Is it injury related still? Is he struggling with the AA jump?
