Nothing against you personally, but it seems that both the "win" and "loss" column are used, depending on how it fits the narrative.

I like "games back", or even better if you are comparing teams, winning percentage.

I love watching the body language of these hitters. They just know they have no chance.

A 90mph slider and changeup? Followed by 103mph heat.

It's fun to watch him pitch.

    Reds win.

I use loss column. Reds just need to win, that's all.

    Reds win!

Good game for Frazier, Bruce, Hamilton and Simon (mostly). But only 6 hits?

Weird stat of the game. Tonight was JJ Hoover's first "hold" of the year. :O)

On an optimistic note, due to JJ Hoover, the Reds W-L record in 1 run games got better.

8 hits, 5 walks in 19 innings suggests that this year has not been stressful.

[QUOTE=Red Raindog;3103776]I agree to a point -- I've always thought bad managers cost more games than good ones because they make more bad moves --- letting Lutz rot is one of those bad moves ---- letting Cozart hit down by 1 with 2 outs in the 9th against Romo (a right hand slider specialist if there ever was one) while Lutz watched -- is an ugly one

Thank You. He has control over some things and seems incapable of doing them.

Dusty may not or was not big on outside the box thinking but he had other managerial traits that helped more than it is helping Price.
Right now Price needs all the help he can get when it comes to making decisions and he is failing on the obvious ones.

edit: Now only 5 hits in 7 innings.
If it goes with about 4-5 walks then it is fine with me. They had runners getting on base and that is what you want. This team has not even had that so if it is through more walks, then who cares.

This is the best policy. I see teams add to their win column every day. I have yet to see a team subtract from its loss column.

No idea if the stats back this up, but seems like lots of deep flyballs and hard hit balls. Not too many easy outs or even K's.
