Bad call. But since it's not conclusive on the replay, they won't challenge.

The one decent thing that seemed to be happening this year is turning into another nightmare.

Mes is in a horrible funk. What a disaster year.

Price is fun shy about asking for appeals and I don't blame him. This system is simply horrible.

Reds go down on a strike out, throw out DP. Brandon looked safe at second to me, but I do have rose colored glasses.

Yep. Getting a steady diet of breaking pitches.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

That second base umpire needs laser eye surgery. He's standing right there and can't see that Brandon's hand got to the bag before he was tagged on the leg? Pathetic.

I don't understand sending Phillips there. Buchanan should be easy to hit the second time around. Just sit back and let it happen.

Homer with a 3-2 slider in the dirt against Jimmy Rollins. Way to challenge him!

Hamilton is one of the best defensive centerfielders in MLB. Man he's fun to watch out there.

    Re: 6/8/2014 Reds v. Phillies

The more I see the Reds play the Phils, the more I want to see the Reds make a trade for Rollins.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Really like the way Lutz played that too. Very athletic for a big guy.

But he wouldn't get to hit against the Reds in that situation -- and his numbers would take a hit.

I liked the idea last year too. He's the type of player. I think the Reds need. Not going to happen though. No trade contract.

This team just can't make anything easy. Constantly shooting itself in the foot. Just little things like allowing Rollins to get into scoring position with two outs on a wild pitch.
