    Figgins 2B
    Ramirez SS
    Puig RF
    Kemp LF
    Van Slyke CF
    Turner 3B
    Romak 1B
    Federowicz C
    Haren P

Reds really need to take advantage of this lineup tonight.

Now is the time to get Haren. 1-4 in his last 5 starts with 8 homers allowed. Here's hoping he doesn't get "right" tonight.

Re: 6/9/14 - Reds vs. Dodgers

I think Mesoraco struck out three times yesterday. With the exception of last Friday (Hamels) he's played every game for about a week.

My guess is Price thinks Mes needs a bit more rest and so he's giving him the night off.

Also, Pena has rested more lately and can use the assignment tonight.

All this is fine with me, although I'd hit Lutz 7 and Cozart 8. Otherwise no problems.

Also -- I kind of figured it was time to try Ludwick again, so not surprised to see him in there, again makes sense. None of the others has knocked the cover off the ball in the LF rotation.

That's too much for a Catcher.

I like how Dusty rotated his Catchers...every two games.

I did too....somewhat. It was the personal catcher thing I had a beef with. Give them regular rest...but mix it up with the batteries. Get everyone familiar with everyone.

Starting May 27th Chris Heisey has has 2 starts, Ludwick 5 and Skip 7.....none of them are much but if anything I wish it were reversed. Regardless Skip is too highly valued by the Reds IMO.

Cingrani's gotten killed in the 1st and 6th Innings, but great in all the others. He's basically struggling at the top and middle of the order, while dominating the bottom of the orders. His best pitch is too good for AAA, but just not enough at the Major League level when it's his only pitch. The good hitters have learned to wait for "their" pitch.

Hope it's different tonight vs the Dodgers.

    Haren P

#'s 2-5 look very dangerous, with the rest easy pickings for Cingrani.

Dodgers are terrible vs lefties and Reds hit HR off of Haren

    Reds 6
    Dodgers 3

Since his record was snapped (22 starts with 5 hits or less), he now has 6 in a row with 6 hits or more.

Get through the first inning and then pull him after five.

Again, the key to Cingrani's success is his ability to get a first pitch strike.

Typical first inning so far for Cingrani. Got the easy batter, while the good hitters got hits.

Remember, they're still paying Dusty...couldn't afford to buy more.
