Was very displeased by the offseason and the failure to markedly improve the big league club. Gotta be fair though, I'm pleased overall with the quite progress in the way the've filled in some weak spots in the system (with the possible exception of the MI). That's one reason I'm giving Buckley some leeway on this year's draft even though I wasn't thrilled with the opening two picks.

I kinda like was I'm seeing from the DSL Reds so far as well.

Amir Garrett needed just 68 pitches for the 7 inning shutout tonight. He has been so much better this year than last. Huge improvements.

Why are they messing around with Daal and batting him 9th quite often? He's one of our top SS prospects, he's batting over .300 ... and he bats 9th on a low-A team? That almost makes sense.

Here's an idea: Bat him leadoff so he gets as many ABs as possible.
