    6/13/14, Friday, 8:10 EST; REDS @ Brewers

Reds are the third highest scoring team in the league at 4.3 runs per game.

Reds are the third best in base on balls allowed, allowing 2.7 per game.
Reds lead the league in K's with 8.0 per game.
Brewers trail the league in walks with 2.5 per game.
Brewers strike out the second least opponents in the league with 6.9 per game.

    Garza vs Bailey.

Last two times Garza faced the REDS:

Cincinnati Reds's relievers have pitched 7⅔ innings in the last 3 games. Milwaukee Brewers's relievers have pitched 9⅔ innings in the last 3 games (five innings by four Relievers yesterday in their 13-inning contest).

    Waiting on lineups...

When I read the first stat about being 3rd highest scoring team I immediately checked the thread title to see if this was from 2013.

    Truth

Your first sentence makes no sense. What am I missing?
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

I should have double-checked the source (NBC sports online "matchup") that I got all of those stats from. I certainly paused when I cut-and-pasted it, but I didn't think they would be wrong, as they seemed to be pretty in-depth in their other data (of which I re-posted the least in-depth data).

REDS are 14th out of 15 teams in runs per game at 3.46 http://www.baseball-reference.com/le...-batting.shtml

In fact, I just checked the next stat...the walks per game, and they don't lead the league in that, either. They are closer to 9th.

It's too late to edit the first post, so now I know to not believe anything I see from nbc sports. I rarely have used the site to look at anything, so I had no experience with their reliability.

And, if I edit it, then your posts won't make sense, so I'll just leave it and let people go, "huh?".

Apparently, Phillips' spot in the lineup is dependent on how he feels during batting practice.

You don't always start game threads. But when you do, you prefer blowing our minds with statistics.

I seriously would have bet the Reds were in the bottom 3 of the NL in runs per game, not top 3.

Perhaps you've predicted where they'll rank after this game?

I see the 2 on base machines in the 7 & 8 holes in the lineup (Cozart has picked it up a little recently).

Is the coach of the Botany Bay team named Khan?

I don't understand how they could lose.
