Mr. Bruce might attempt to recall his disciplined approach from a short time ago.

Mr. Bruce has twice threatened to take passage on a clipper ship this season. Discipline is not his long suit.

"Scooter" Gennett, local chimney sweep, bats against Mr. Bailey.

Mr. Bailey has treated leads this season as if they were a live snake, and permits "Scooter" a base hit to left.

    My God homer
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Mr. Braun, late of Her Majesty's Prison at Wormwood Scrubs, happily takes his position. Mr. Braun largely built his legend upon certain unguents and potions obtained from the Barbary Pirates. The fathers of the game saw fit to punish him for this by giving him millions of dollars.

Hit by pitch. Under the new rules, this entitles him to first base. Base ball has gone soft.

Mr. Lucroy hits a line drive to second, which Phillips converts into a double play.

    Nice DP.

So far I'm finding reading the game thread to be the real treat of the evening, even more so than the ballgame.

    Thanks to dsmith421.

Mr. Gomez lines to Cozart at shortstop. That will do. 1-0 Cincinnatis after one.

Cozart with a diving catch. Homer very fortunate

Four hard hits in that inning for the Brewers. Three line drives and Bailey hitting Braun's arm.

I suppose Mr. Phillips and Mr. Cozart just showed why the Reds continue to use them despite some of their batting habits.

    Top 2nd.

The world agog over the World's Cup. Frankly, I prefer true athletes like Mr. B. Colon of the New York Mutuals.

Mesoraco, perhaps the finest batsman on this nine for the first month of the season, grounds out sharply to third.

Mes with some hard hit grounders lately. Elevate the ball, Mes.
