Gomez swings out of his shoes on a lineout to Cozart to end the frame.

1-0 Redlegs after 4. Get Latos some more runs!
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I can't imagine where the Reds would be without Phillips' defense. I think if he was replaced with an average defensive 2B, the guy would have to OPS .800+ to even things out.

Agreed. It still confuses me when people talk about wanting to deal him because his contract is "crippling" us.

Well when you have a all-glove no-hit at SS and CF, need to balance that out with some sort of offensive threat at 2B.

triple wow. I didn't even bother clicking on it when it said I was blacked out.

Actually, I clicked, it said I was blacked out, I clicked "ok", clicked again and it worked.

Disagree with the assessment of both Cozart & Hamilton. They are not "no-hit". Either of them. They both struggled out of the gate this season. But we've seen otherwise since then IMO.

The Reds failed to capitalize on Gallardo's shaky start and now he's settled in. Go figure.

Cozart OPS' is .582, his career OPS is .665. He is the very definition of a no-hit SS if we saying that .730 is Average and .700 is Below Average

    http://www.fangraphs.com/library/offense/ops/

Cozart is 23rd out of 25 qualified SS's in OPS
Hamilton is 19th out of 22 qualified CF's in OPS

They are both no-hit, all glove players.

And you have Phillips at 14th out of 21 qualified 2B in OPS as well.

Aramis Ramirez flies out to the warning track in left on a full count.
