The Reds are 12-6 over their last 18 games, and just three games back in the wild card race. Almost everyone is healthy. I see smooth sailing ahead.

Agree. Only 2 MLB teams have scored fewer runs than the Reds. However, only 5 teams have allowed fewer.

The pitching and defense is there (save a few rough spots in the 'pen), the bats are coming around (a mere 1 run deficit coming into today), and the Reds are at .500! Let's go.

Kind of reminiscent to the Elwood Blues quote: "It's a hundred and six miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."

Fun Fact: The Pirates are a combined total of 5-15 versus the Reds and Brewers this season.

    Let's do this...

Jeff Locke - softer tossing lefty (FB 90.5 average which nowadays constitutes soft). Blech, hate this matchup for Reds.

Again, just my opinion and I shall await Raisor to see if my opinion is correct.

Another leadoff double for Billy, how predictable.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
