1-0 Redlegs on the Votto sac fly
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Another Run Billy-ed In for the Reds

    - - - Updated - - -

Is that six straight games the Reds have scored in the 1st inning?
Sabermetrics is this: A batter's goal is to extend the inning. Extend enough innings and you're going to score runs. Extend more innings than your opponent and you're going to score more runs than him.

Forget the rain. It's never an official game until the Reds piss away a run between third base and home plate. - Bluegrass Redleg

Just amazing how far Hamilton has come since the start of the season. He looked woefully overmatched and I wondered if he would ever come around. But now....WoW!

With everyone healthy....and Hamilton, Frazier, and Mesoraco doing what they're doing this season, this is a good team.

Nice to have an early run for Bailey to give back

Brandon is such a hot dog. Waits until the very last second to throw just to make it close, because he can. He never gets burned on it. Haha.

    Great start, Homer!

Gets the uber-hot Phenom Polanco, and then K's the also uber-hot Marte and McCutcheon...all of this after the REDS got him a run and a lead.

I haven't looked at the numbers, but it wouldn't shock me if the Reds lead the majors in number of times scoring in the first inning. It seems like it's every freaking night.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG
