I am interested to see how Elizalde does. I feel he will do very well.

Billings posts 3-spots in each of the first two innings as they jump out to a 6-1 lead.

Cory Thompson has singled and scored a run. Daniel Paula has singled and scored twice. Aristides Aquino has singled, doubled, scored once and driven in a couple of runs. He is batting a sweet .500. Beef O'Grady has doubled in two, and touched the pay station. Garrett Boulware has singled in a run.

The Mustangs are at it again in the third. Alex Greer has gone yard - solo style.

Billings is running at will, three stolen bases so far.

Luke Moran has given up a hit and two walks through two. He has allowed a run and struck out a batter.

Got a feeling there may be a shuffling of relievers some time around the A-S break and that Langfield may start to move up.

Carlos Gonzalez hurled a scoreless eighth. Rossmel Perez hit a solo blast. Perez is now hitting .338. 7-2 Pensacola.
The other Carlos - Contreras - dispatched Huntsville quickly in the ninth.

Pensacola wins 7-2. And there is no way I keep those pitchers straight in my mind.

Atta boy Phil. His HR gives Dayton a 2-1 lead in the 11th.

Philip Ervin just knocked one over the wall to give the Dragons a 2-1 lead. They are still batting in the top of the 11th. It was just Ervin's second homer on the year.

Juan Silva singled and was caught stealing. Zach Vincej then walked and moved to third on a single off the bat of Elizalde. Gelalich has walked to load them up for Bakersfield in the top of the first.

Woohoo! David Vidal just went deep. 4-0 Blaze.

Alejandro Chacin comes on to close out a 2-1 in the bottom of the 11th and gives up an unearned run. That is the 4th Dragon error on the night. On to the 12th, 2-2.

I'm guessing we see a different Phil Ervin the second half from the one we saw in the 1st half of the season.

The DSL Rojos (3-14) get blasted again. This time 14-1. They committed four errors as well.

    Francis Azcona doubled and tripled.
Olvis Jimenez singled twice. He is listed at 6'4" 175 lbs. Yikes!
    Michael Beltre singled and walked.

    The pitching was awful.

In 17 games, Los Rojos have been outscored 110-55. Not good.

In Dayton's top of the 12th, Jonathan Reynoso led off with a bunt single and the Loons shortstop and skipper were ejected. . . . Now they changed it. Reynoso walked, McGruder bunted for a hit, and the two Loonies were ejected.

Drew Cisco, who may want to consider becoming Drew Crisco, is trying to give those four runs right back. Two so far, with Stockton still batting.
