SKip in CF makes me want to stab baby penguins. He likely won't have a play that he can't get to that matters and I think we'll win regardless and he likely will contribute offensively.

I know BHam needs a day off every so often, I just wish he didn't because he is so fun to watch at so many different times in a game.

Correct move by Price to sit Hamilton against the knuckleball. No reason to louse up the young player's timing and improved hitting. Let the veteran guys deal with RA Dickey.

I never agreed with giving star players Sunday home games off, outside of injury. Too many fans can only make it to weekend games because of work or living too far away, and they come to see stars.

Ok, I know that was extremely petty Carry on.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Way back in 1977, the family went to see the Reds play the Expos, for the sole reason of seeing Tony Perez again. It was a Sunday, and the Expos gave him the day off. We were none too happy.

Hamilton's OK. Price wanted to play Schumaker 3-for-8, Ludwick 3-for-11 v. Dickey. "And a day off won't hurt Billy," Price said #reds

    Also,

    Bruce: 3-9, 2B, HR
    Cozart: 2-6, 2 2B, BB
    Frazier: 3-7, HR, BB
    Pena: 1-3, BB
    Phillips: 3-11, 2 2B
    Votto: 2-3, HR

All small samples, but at least encouraging.

I finally get to make it to a game once Billy has started to figure it out and this is what I end up with...

At least I get to see Cueto dominate

A good argument FOR playing Billy today is that Francisco and Encarnacion are the corner infielders for the Jays. Both have had some defensive issues, neither is speedy, although JF does have a good arm at third. Bunts might play.

Main thing is that Cueto gets a nice quota of ground balls against this lineup.

I truly believe you could put Mike Leake in CF and leading off today and we'll win

Refresh my memory....what exactly are Francisco's defensive issues at third? Pretty good range and a cannon for an arm. I've never understood the knocks on Juan's defense. His K's and lack of BB's....sure.

    Is it a 1:00 start?
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.
