Leake just needs to keep throwing those ground balls.

Leake thus far throwing the kind of game I was hoping from him last time out.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Bruce needs a few good games against lefties. His numbers against lefties this year are weak. Hopefully this is the beginning of a correction.

Leake is really mixing up his pitches well today, really keeping them off balance (guessing).

Also a pretty June day in the tri-state. I spent all day in my yard puttering. Now I'm on the couch on the borderline of consciousness.

We did get free ticket vouchers last night. A nice thing to do and a good deal.

58 pitches so it's probably a seven inning outing for Leake if he keeps on this track. Possibly eight.

    Hit for Santiago.

Man, Leake is pitching really well. Yet, I've still never been so terrified of a 4-run lead in the bottom of the 4th in my life.
